The Student Leadership Conference is held each September at the beginning of the academic year, just as student leaders and organizations are staring to mobilize.

10 a.m. to 12 noon: StrengthsQuest
OPEN TO 50 STUDENTS.
This program is designed for students interested in finding out their top 5 Strengths through StrengthsFinder 2.0 and how to use them to maximize their leadership and work effectively with other people.
Participants must register to obtain a code for the online assessment prior to attending this workshop.
This workshop is intended for students who have NOT already participated in a Strengths workshop in the Fall 2012.
Lunch provided for StrenghtsQuest participants from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m.
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Logistical Leadership
You'll do it all in 4, 30 minute flash sessions.

The conference is intended to:
- send a consistent message to all student leaders regarding business practices, role modeling and resources;
- encourage co-sponsorship;
- enhance skill development; and
- provide leaders an opportunity to network with their peers.
This conference is the heart of Leadership by Design. Any Smith student may attend this conference. SGA, organization and house leaders are strongly encouraged to attend. Spaces are reserved for first-year students who are excited to learn more about starting their leadership journey at Smith.
