CURRENT SMITH STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Students already enrolled at Smith who have a disability or might be experiencing difficulties that could be related to a disabling condition should contact the Office of Disability Services to set up a meeting. We will be glad to discuss your concerns and help you determine the best course of action. If you already have documentation, we will request that you present that to the office within a reasonable time frame after meeting with us to support your need for specific accommodations or services requested. If you do not have documentation, we will assist you in identifying an appropriate clinician through our health services, Counseling Services, or outside sources.

Please read the sections on this Web site regarding Services and Accommodations and Smith’s Policy on Disability. Students are expected to take an active role in the accommodation process, to coordinate and communicate with our office as needed, and to utilize campus resources beyond Disability Services as appropriate to develop the skills needed for academic, social, and emotional development and independence. All communication with the Office of Disability Services is confidential.
