Alum Blogs from Frigid Antarctica In her Weblog, titled "At Least It's a Dry Cold," Christina Arrison ’06 reports temperatures as low as negative 60 degrees Fahrenheit and untrampeled ice as far as the eye can squint from her post at McMurdo Station, a United States base for science study in Antarctica. PBS Film Documents Girls' Stories For Sonia Luna, an immigrant from Mexico who
became a United States resident during her high school years, being
accepted to Smith was the beginning of a future she dreamed of while
growing up. Luna is one of several young women profiled in A
Girl's Life, a compelling PBS documentary about girls' educational paths.
