Sarah Treem’s The How and The Why, being performed by New Century Theatre through July 12 in Theater 14, Mendenhall CPA, is about two women biologists who meet for the first time. In the play, Treem, a writer/producer for cable television hits such as In Treatment and House of Cards, explores themes of science, family and the survival of the fittest.
