Apple Releases Fix for Mac OS X Security Flaw

A security vulnerability has been identified in iOS (iPhone, iPad) and OS X (Mac clients) that allows attackers to read and modify encrypted communications over WiFi networks they control. Apple has released an iOS update (7.0.6) and an OS X update (10.9.2) to address this vulnerability; both should be installed as soon as possible. Until the updates are installed, iOS and OS X users are advised to use only trusted WiFi networks like SmithSecure and only the Chrome or Firefox browsers for secure communications.
