"No offense but . . ." A Workshop on Offering and Receiving Criticism, Monday, Sept. 16, 4:15 p.m., Neilson Browsing Room
How many times have you received (or offered) a tidbit of criticism that began, "No offense, but..."? In this workshop, Rachel Simmons, best-selling author of Odd Girl Out and The Curse of the Good Girl, will offer concrete tools and suggestions for offering and responding to get around the "offense" of criticism. Students will learn how to develop the emotionally intelligent "muscles" necessary for practicing a positive and productive dialogue around criticism in both personal and professional relationships. Dinner is provided. Sponsored by the Wurtele Center for Work & Life. Register online at http://www.smith.edu/cwl/passport.
