Great
Prizes Await Smith United Way Donors
Your very own reserved parking
space. A free wine-tasting for four. A paid day off. Membership
to the Smith Museum of Art or the Eric Carle Museum.
It’s not too late to win one
of these great prizes by giving to the ,
by Tuesday, Dec. 18. The final Smith United Way campaign
prize drawing has been delayed a few days to allow more donors
to enter.
Now is the best time to give.
Contributions to the United Way before the new year may be
deducted from 2012 taxes.
Most importantly, your donations
help provide hope and opportunities to build better lives
for thousands of our neighbors in Hampshire County, a particularly
important endeavor in the season of giving.
Smith College
is a leader among institutions and local workplaces giving
to the United Way of Hampshire County’s annual campaign,
typically raising more than $150,000, more than 10 percent
of the UWHC $1.25 million goal.
The Smith campaign still
has a way to go toward its $150,000 goal, having raised $104,000
with 19 percent (222 contributors) participation among Smith
employees.
Thank you to those who have
given or pledged to this year’s
Smith United Way campaign. If you haven’t, please consider
giving before the end of the year. Even a $5 donation makes
a difference, and the automatic payroll deduction option
makes it easy.
If you would like to make a
gift and do not have a pledge form, contact Donna Schnopp,
ext. 2644, dschnopp@smith.edu. And be sure to fill out the
yellow drawing form before December 18 to be eligible for
great prizes. |
