Giving
for a Good Cause
This year's All-Employee
Picnic will include a campaign to collect items for residents
of , an Amherst shelter
offering emergency housing for families and helping to guide
homeless families toward a future of hope and good health,
and self-sufficiency. Jessie's House residents often arrive
without some basic personal care items. Below is a list of
items the shelter needs for distribution to residents.
Travel sizes
of:
- shampoo
- conditioner
- disposable razors and shaving
cream, for both men and women
- toothbrushes
- toothpaste
- dental floss
- body lotions
- shower gel
- deodorants
- diapers, sizes 2, 3, 4, & 5
- baby wipes
- children's sun block
- children's Tylenol
Other:
- laundry detergent
- dryer sheets
- hand & bath towels
- postage stamps—books
- batteries
- packing tape
If preferred,
donations are also needed of non-perishable foods, such
as:
- Macaroni and cheese
- canned ravioli
- jars of spaghetti sauce
- cereal
- juice
- canned fruit
- coffee
- sugar
- non-dairy creamer
