The
Center for Work and Life, which opened two years ago on the
first floor of Clark Hall, will introduce the Smith community
to its new, expanded space on the third floor of Clark at
a grand opening in September. The new center, currently being
constructed, includes
the addition of three offices and a common room, complete
with reading library and kitchenette.

Center for Work and Life, Clark Hall
Clark
Hall, located on Elm Street next to John M. Greene
Hall, also houses the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the student affairs office.
The
Center for Work and Life, which will take up its new
digs on the third floor of Clark, assists
students and others in building balanced,
fulfilling lives.
When
it's finished, the new common room will provide a bright,
open space for meetings and studying.
Removing asbestos from the third-floor
restroom requires complete removal of the walls and
ceiling.
Three
new
offices
in the center will accommodate two staff members
and student workers.
Cheryl Obremski,
draftsman and engineering aide, is overseeing the Clark
Hall project.
