year, some 175 students gather in the basement of Laura Scales
house and hit the phones, chatting with alumnae and parents,
informing them of all that Smith means to them, and asking
for their support. The annual Smith Fund Phone-a-thon takes
place throughout four weeks in the fall, and gives students
an opportunity to share their stories with alumnae and provide
essential assistance for their college. This year’s Phone-a-thon,
which began on Saturday, Oct. 17, will run through Thursday,
Nov. 12, and aims to contact more than 17,000 individuals.
In case you receive a call from
a student during the Phone-a-thon, we’ve compiled this list, with assistance
