The Gate Honored
by CASE
The Grécourt
Gate, Smith’s daily-changing
news Web page, received an Honorable Mention this week in
the CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education)
District I Communication Awards, in the specialty Web sites
category.
The annual awards recognize outstanding achievement in higher
education, as well as independent schools and nonprofit organization
communications. Award judges assess overall design, content
and writing, and use of photography, graphics and technology.
The Gold medal in the category was awarded to Boston University,
and Silver medals to Suffolk University and the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
The Grécourt
Gate (commonly referred to
as the Gate), which was launched in the Office of
College Relations in February 2007, provides news, commentary,
columns and profiles about Smith, the people in the college
community and their accomplishments. The Gate serves
a broad readership of Smith students, faculty, staff, alumnae,
prospective students and their parents, and media professionals.
Open the Gate every day to stay up to date on Smith
news.
