Summer in the Botanic Garden

A series of photographs of plants at the Smith College Botanic Garden.

The Starfish Flower, Stapelia gettliffei, fully open (above) and in bud (below), gives off a foul odor that attracts flies for pollination. This African plant can be seen in the Succulent House, Lyman Conservatory.
