Ronald Gorevic was born in London and has had an active
career as both a violinist and a violist. Having performed throughout the United
States and Europe, he has drawn enthusiastic reviews from London to New York to Cleveland.
Among his many credits are recordings of the complete Schumann violin sonatas and
frequent performances of the complete Brahms violin and viola sonatas.
As an experienced
violist with first the Rowe and then the Chester and Laurentian string quartets,
Mr. Gorevic has toured extensively in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.
His recitals and quartet performances have been broadcast live on National Public
Radio and he has recorded for the Koch International Classics label.
Mr. Gorevic is
currently principal viola in the Springfield Symphony and is violist in the Prometheus
piano quartet. He is a visiting lecturer at Smith College and is on the faculty
of the Greenwood Chamber Music Camp and the Deerfield Academy. With the Prometheus
piano quartet, he has performed at Lincoln Center on the Great Performers Series
and has been the featured soloist with both the Springfield and Greenwich Symphonies,
as well as with the Berkshire Bach Society. |
