Work Abroad Fair is tomorrow!
Wednesday, November 18th, from noon to 4 p.m.
UMass is offering a Work Abroad Fair for students interested in international careers. Students are welcome from across the five campuses. There will be information booths in the Campus Center Concourse from noon to 3:15 p.m., with representatives from the Peace Corps, State Department and others. From 3:15 to 4 p.m. special presentations by representatives from the Department of State and Japan English Teaching (and perhaps others).

"Is Turkish Foreign Policy Still Western?"

Soner Cagaptay, senior fellow and director of the Turkish Research Program at The Washington Institute has written extensively on U.S.-Turkish relations, Turkish domestic politics and Turkish nationalism, publishing in scholarly journals and major international print media, including The Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Los Angeles Times, International Herald Tribune, Jane's Defense Weekly and Newsweek Türkiye. He also is a regular columnist for Hürriyet Daily News, Turkey's oldest and most influential English-language paper. He appears regularly on Fox News, CNN, NPR, Voice of America, al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN-Turk, and al-Hurra.
Dr. Cagaptay is the recipient of numerous honors, grants, and chairs, among them the Smith-Richardson, Mellon, Rice, and Leylan fellowships, as well as the Ertegun chair at Princeton. He also serves as chair of the Turkey Advanced Area Studies Program at the State Department's Foreign Service Institute.
