The Annual AEMES Research Symposium is a yearly opportunity for AEMES Scholars of all class years to present their research to an audience of faculty, peers and special guests.

Explore Science! at Women of Distinction is a special event for high school seniors visiting campus as part of the Office of Admission's Women of Distinction program. Faculty and students from the Clark Science Center talk to the visiting students about the STEM disciplines offered at Smith College, and engage them in entertaining activities.
Minorities in the Sciences Week is organized by the Union for Underrepresented Science Students (US2) and supported by the Office of STEM Advising and Mentoring. In past years, the week has featured a variety of notable speakers:
- Helen Hwang, entrepreneur and engineer
- Susan Stukes, D.D.S., an African American dentist
- Bruce Cutting, D.V.M., an African American veterinarian in the Pioneer Valley
- Barbara Ross-Lee, O.D., doctor of osteopathic medicine and dean of the New York Institute of Technology
- Alfred Gaskin, D.V.M., an African American veterinarian at the Tuskegee Institute
- Marion Smith-Waison '68, M.D., practicing obstetrician and gynecologist
- Virginia Banks, M.D., M.B.A., infectious disease physician
- Melba J. T. Vasquez, Ph.D., ABPP, Latina psychologist and director of Vasquez and Associates Mental Health Services
- Alfredo Molinolo, M.D./Ph.D. specializing in oral cancer research
