Discover the Information Commons!

New study spaces and multimedia workstations for individual and group work are available in Neilson Library, level 1.

Collaborate!

Looking for a space to collaborate on a group project? Need software to edit photos or video? The new Information Commons on the first floor of Neilson Library provides spaces and computers for multimedia and collaborative work.

iMacs in the Mair Room

iMacs

Easily create QuickTime videos to insert in your papers or PowerPoint presentations using the multimedia iMac stations on the North end of the Mair Room. These six iMacs are loaded with multimedia software to help you edit audio, images, and video. A scanning station is also available.

Group Workstations

Four group workstations are available with mini Macs (Windows & Mac) and a large monitor to make working on group projects easier.

Studio

Three large screen monitors with laptop plug-ins allow you to practice a presentation or edit a project with your group.
Whiteboards and movable tables also provide spaces for groups to collaborate together.

To allow for group work, talking is permitted on the first floor of Neilson Library. Quiet study spaces are located on levels B, A, 2, 3, and 4.
