Smith may be able to negotiate a lower fee (via a letter of introduction), but the number of books you may borrow at a time will also be reduced. You may arrange in advance for evening or weekend use by calling the reference desk. For borrowing, you may purchase a courtesy card for $200/6 months or $400/year. For the 6-month card, you will need a letter of introduction. Contact Pamela Skinner (pskinner@smith.edu) for a letter of introduction from the Smith College Libraries. The letter will include your address, local phone number and social security number, so please provide these when you contact her. No letter is required for the year-long card. Neither card offers interlibrary loan privileges or access to restricted databases.
