If not, then use the listing(s) below to identify area libraries and their policies regarding access and borrowing. Note that all policies described below are subject to change.

Guests over the age of 18 with valid photo IDs are welcome to use the Library and Information Commons during the following times: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • To use the collection, you may apply for a "Day Pass" for up to 5 visits/quarter. For a Day Pass, you must present current photo ID and proof of registration from Smith College.
  • For more frequent use, apply for "Extended Privilege," which cost $15/week or $75/quarter. For extended privileges, you must send a written statement (via US Mail or email) describing your research needs to the Privileges Office and you must present current photo ID and proof of registration from Smith College.
  • You will not be able to borrow or use the interlibrary loan service.
