Plagiarism Challenge | Questions WHAT IS THE "RESEARCH SKILLS FOR STUDENTS" COURSE? "Research Skills for Students" is not an academic course. All entering first-year students are automatically enrolled in the course so they may take the Research Skills quiz and the Plagiarism Challenge quiz. DEADLINE The deadline for completion of both quizzes is November 2, 2009. You must complete both quizzes in order to register for next term's classes The ten-question Plagiarism Challenge quiz will help you learn when you must give credit to others' words and ideas - and also when this is not necessary. You may take the quiz as many times as you like to get a perfect score and to review the correct answers to each question. Once you get them all right, and you've also completed the Research Skills quiz, you're all done. The Plagiarism Challenge is excerpted from a larger exercise developed by Holly Davis of the Smith College Jacobson Center. The Information Literacy Team thanks Holly for permission to use this quiz as a part of the Smith College Information Literacy Program. Please direct any questions about the quiz to Bruce Sajdak, Chair, Information Literacy Team, (413) 585-2967, bsajdak@smith.edu.
