Finding & Borrowing Videos | Borrowing Policies | Viewing Facilities

HOW TO FIND & BORROW VIDEOS, DVDS & FILMS

  • Five College Library Catalog - search for videos, DVDs and films.
  • Request Smith videos & DVDs in person at the library service desk - you supply the call number, a staff member gets the video.
  • Video Request Form - use this form to request
    • Five College videos
    • Smith videos for specific screening dates
    • Smith films in storage
  • See below to learn more about policies and loan periods.
  • Viewing Facilities are available for all registered patrons.

VIEWING FACILITIES

Neilson Library

  • 5 open viewing stations (VHS, DVD, & Laserdisc) on Level 2 North, past the periodicals
  • 3 small viewing rooms for 1-2 people (VHS & DVD) on Level 2 North near the core and restrooms
  • 1 group viewing room for up to 10 (VHS, DVD, Laserdisc, & PAL) on Level 3 South; reserve this room through the Circulation Desk, (413) 585-2910.

Josten Library

  • 7 audio-video viewing rooms with VHS/DVD
  • Group viewing by request in the Ankudowich Rare Book Room (VHS, DVD, Laserdisc & PAL)
