| Five
College Library Catalog
Currently,
the Five College Library Catalog does not allow saving citations
for import into RefWorks. Until further notice, enter references
from the Five College Library Catalog manually using the following
instructions. Note: Pop-up blockers must be turned
off:
- Log
into RefWorks.
-
From the References menu select Add New
Reference.
-
Select a potential output style in the drop-down menu next to
View Fields Used By.
- Under
In Folders, select the folder or folders where
you want to store your reference. The last folder selected will
be displayed, but you can see all your folder choices by clicking
on the drop-down menu. If you do not select a folder, the reference
is placed in your main database and is considered unfiled.
-
Under Ref Type, select the reference type you
want to add.
-
Determine if your reference is for a Print or Electronic source
in the Source Type drop-down.
- After
you select the reference type and source type you want to add,
click in each field and type the appropriate data.
-
When you've finished entering information, click Save
to complete your entry.
-
To add another new reference, select References,
Add New Reference from the toolbar.
Or,
try this easy workaround... Instead of manually entering references
from the online catalog, you may import references automatically
using WorldCat:
