The Campbell Collaboration
A major source of research in evidence-based practice. Offers review of the impact of social service programs.
The Cochrane Library
A valuable source to identify research in evidence-based practice.
Browse or search for disorders to find abstracts and texts through the Cochrane Reviews of medical, health and mental health treatments.
Evidence-Based Practice
Information and links on the experimental demonstration of the efficacy of treatments, focusing on social work.
National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices (NREPP)
Searchable database of interventions for prevention and treatment of mental and substance use disorders, from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

PubMed - 1950s to present. - Tutorial
MEDLINE index of articles in the medical literature, including "Bioethics" and "AIDSLINE", with limits for subsets. Selective full text links for SC subscriptions.
LexisNexis Academic - coverage varies by title
Click on the "Sources" tab at the top, then choose "Health & Medical Care" from the drop down menu under "Topics".

POLICY - HISTORY - LAW

America: History & Life - 1954 to present.
U.S. and Canadian history and social issues, to current decade, including abstracts for academic articles, book reviews, collections of essays, and dissertations. Includes selected links to full-text.
  CQ Electronic Library
Includes the CQ Researcher and some content from CQ Weekly, with these Collections: Congress, Supreme Court, Public Affairs, and Voting & Elections.
  Index to Legal Periodicals and Books - 1981 to present.

American Factfinder  - 1531 to 2000
Population, housing, economic and geographic data from the U.S. Census Bureau, including quick tables and search capabilities for all available tables from 1990 and 2000 Decennial Censuses, the latest Economic Census, and reference maps.
Historical Statistics of the United States  - 1531 to 2000
Covers population, work & welfare, the economy, and government. Data may be downloaded and custom tables created. Essays address the quantitative history of each subject, with advice on data reliability and references to secondary literature.
Statistical Abstract of the United States
The National Data Book, containing a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. Selected international data are also included.
Mental Health Services Locator - current
U.S. Government's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) locator tool, featuring state mental health statistics, resources, and services.
LexisNexis Statistical - current
