DOING RESEARCH WHILE YOU'RE OFF CAMPUS

If you need help while you are away this summer here are some hints to help you.

  • First scout out your local public and academic libraries. Use these resources - some libraries may have important items we do not.
  • While you are away you will have access to almost all Smith electronic resources. When asked for a username or password, use your Smith Novell & Groupwise username and password.
  • You may request electronic delivery of ARTICLES not available to you locally or online through Interlibrary Loan. However ILL will not send books to your summer address - so use your local library for book interlibrary loan requests.
  • Consider using RefWorks as a software system for safe storage of your citations. You will be able to access this both on and off campus.
  • If you need help, visit the Smith College Libraries Help Page and get in touch with us.
