DOING RESEARCH WHILE YOU'RE OFF CAMPUS

If you need help while you are away this summer here are some hints to help you.

First scout out your local public and academic libraries. Use these resources - some libraries may have important items we do not.
While you are away you will have access to almost all Smith electronic resources. When asked for a username or password, use your Smith Novell & Groupwise username and password.
You may request electronic delivery of ARTICLES not available to you locally or online through Interlibrary Loan. However ILL will not send books to your summer address - so use your local library for book interlibrary loan requests.
Consider using RefWorks as a software system for safe storage of your citations. You will be able to access this both on and off campus.
