The Dictionary of Art. New York: Grove's Dictionaries, 1996.
Helpful links to articles on historical and regional traditions of domestic architecture. Survey articles on major art movements (e.g., Bauhaus, Arts and Crafts Movement), individual artists (e.g., Frank Lloyd Wright, William Morris), types of domestic architecture (e.g., country house), styles (e.g., Federal Style). Artist entries include biographical, critical, and contextual information. Each article is supplemented by a bibliography of major primary and secondary sources and illustrations.
