is universal in subject scope and includes records for materials in all
formats held in thousands of libraries throughout the United States and
Europe. It is an excellent source for developing a bibliography and verifying
citations.

These two databases cover all aspects of the visual arts, including key
archaeology journals in English, providing cover to cover indexing of
over 400 periodicals published throughout the world. Art Abstracts
covers 1984 to the present, Art Index Retrospective covers 1929
to 1984. Updated monthly.
America:
History and Life
Indexes 1,700 journals, books, and dissertations for material about American
and Canadian history. Other subjects covered include popular culture,
anthropology, sociology, economics, education, and politics. 1953 to present.

RealKatalog DAI Rom
DYABOLA: RealKatalog DAI Rom is an electronic version of Archäologische
Bibliographie, the subject and alphabetic catalogs of the Deutsches
Archäologisches Institut and the standard bibliography of material
on classical art and archaeology. It provides regular access to over 1,100
journals and series and includes citations to books and essays in Festschriften
and other collections published throughout the world. Hillyer holdings
of the printed index are 1932 to 1993 (Storage Art Periodical Z5132 .A67).
The electronic form covers 1956 to the present and is updated annually.

art from 1990 to the present. Use the keywords "excavations,"
"excavation," "site report" or the site name to search
for reviews of site reports published as monographs. Many reviews include
