SALTER IN THE 1950s

The Mortimer Rare Book Room hosts an exhibition of book jacket designs from the library and papers of George Salter (1897-1967). Janet Salter Rosenberg '54 donated the collection of Salter's book jacket designs to the college in 1989. Marit Cranmer, a recent graduate of the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Rhode Island, curated the exhibition.
