COLLECTIONS IN JOSTEN Classification Systems Josten Library uses three different classification systems for books and scores. The most recently acquired books and scores are classified under the Library of Congress system (e.g., ML410...). Older scores are classified using the Cutter system (e.g., VZP...); older books use the Dewey Decimal system (e.g., 780.92...). Please see Josten Library Locations or ask for staff assistance in locating materials and using the call number systems.Treasure Cases The Treasure Cases collection contains collected critical editions, composers' complete works, and facsimiles; it is located in the Arthur Ware Locke Room (lower stacks). These materials may be used in-house only. ACCESS TO JOSTEN COLLECTIONS The Werner Josten Library is open to the public and most materials are available for onsite use during open hours. See loan policies for borrowing policies and information. Mary Millward Ankudowich Rare Book Room materials are accessible Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment.ELECTRONIC RESOURCES PC's located in the reference and circulation areas provide access to The Five College Library Catalog and the Libraries' electronic databases.
