Preservation: Emergency Procedures Working Group

The Emergency Procedures Working Group is charged by the Director of Libraries to produce a disaster manual for the use of the Smith College Libraries. Current members of the working group include: Joe Bialek, Chair, (Preparations Supervisor), Martin Antonetti (Curator of Rare Books), , Jane Clayton (Circulation Team).

The group has been trained in the salvage of water damaged materials and has given presentations to staff. As an outgrowth of this training, EPWG has installed MESSKITS in strategic locations in Neilson and the Branch Libraries to aid in disaster response and recovery
