Want to try a ukulele? You can!

Josten Performing Arts Library is circulating four soprano and two tenor ukuleles thanks to the Friends of the Libraries and the Department of Music.

The ukuleles circulate for 7 days, renewable, in a case with an outside zippered pocket. The soprano ukuleles have a chromatic tuner and a text quick start guide.

Pictured to the right with one of the available soprano ukuleles is Quincy Dean-Slobod '17. She is president of the Smith Ukulele Club and a student assistant at the Werner Josten Performing Arts Library. She is undeclared, but is a perspective medieval studies major with a book studies concentration. She is a member of the Smith Glee Club and Groove a Cappella.

This program was inspired by the successful musical instrument circulation service spearheaded by our neighbors at the Forbes Library (Northampton's public library).
