Presentation of the Book Studies Concentration, Today at 5 pm

An information session for second-years (primarily) who may be considering enrolling in the concentration will be held on Monday, October 21, at 5:00 pm in the Mortimer Rare Book Room.

The Book Studies Concentration is a concentration for those interested in the social, cultural and artistic aspects of written communication–past, present & future. Explore these using the rich resources of the Smith College Libraries, in particular the Mortimer Rare Book Room, and the many other collections, book artists, publishers and booksellers around Northampton.

Book Studies is an excellent way to cross disciplines within the Smith College curriculum: take courses in departments as diverse as anthropology, education and child study, comparative literature, American studies, and others.
