Connect: New Discover

New Discover is a brand-new interface with expanded functionality that makes it easier for you to scan search results, connect to online content, and refine your searches. New Discover provides access to millions of resources in the library catalog, journal-article databases, and local primary-source collections.

Key features include:

  • The simplified, mobile friendly results display separates books, articles, media, and other sources into scannable lists
  • Link directly to full text articles, ebooks, and streaming media
  • Limit to Smith-only results
  • Select your favorite resources to create customized searches

“The New Discover is a great place for you to begin your research. Use it to find a few good citations to books, articles, and media, before moving on to more specialized resources. New Discover is a robust tool for interdisciplinary research too. And, try it for chasing down information on esoteric subjects.” Barbara Polowy, Librarian
