Exercise and Study in Neilson!

Have you ever wanted to exercise while you study? Now you can, thanks to a student project currently installed in the KnowledgeLab, on the 2nd floor of Neilson Library.

Emily Jackson ‘18 will host an opening reception for her project, MOVE! Move your body, move your mind. Jackson’s project consists of a set of exercise/study equipment, including a FitDesk stationary bike, under-desk elliptical trainer, and portable pedaller exercise machines, and is funded by a $500 KnowledgeLab mini-grant. During the event, Smith community members will have a chance to learn more about the project, KnowledgeLab mini-grants, and try out the new equipment. Snacks will be provided.

KnowledgeLab mini-grants are available to all Smith students, faculty, classes, and student orgs for projects relating to the themes of knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and the future of libraries and campus learning spaces, including pop-up installations, events, and more.
