Jane Hirshfield gave a poetry reading on Thursday, April 7, in Wright Hall's Weinstein Auditorium. Hirshfield’s reading opened the four-day conference “Women Practicing Buddhism: American Experiences,” scheduled through April 10.

In addition to the reading, Hirshfield discussed “Buddhism and Creativity” with another conference participant, composer, singer, director and choreographer Meredith Monk at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, in the Helen Hills Hills Chapel.
