There will be an informal Q&A session in the Poetry Center in the afternoon where Simic will discuss his work and the craft of writing, followed in the evening by a reading from his works. Prior to his reading, poetry fans are invited to attend a free and unstructured slate of readings behind John M. Greene Hall where a variety of poets participating in the 2006 Poetry Bus Tour will read from their work.

The visit is sponsored by the Smith College Poetry Center and the Smith College Lecture Committee, and is free, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible.
