Distinguished professor of English at Purdue University, author of seven books of award-winning poetry and two books of essays on poetry and poets, Boruch earned her master of fine arts degree at the University of Massachusetts, where she studied with poet James Tate, among others. Her numerous essays on poetry and poets were published in her collections Poetry’s Old Air and In the Blue Pharmacy. Her poems and essays have also appeared in The New Yorker, The Southern Review and The Yale Review, to name a few.
