Shaping the Book: Authors, Agents & Editors

The Friends of the SC Libaries present a panel discussion with Elinor Lipman, Barry Werth, Richard Todd, and Jennifer Gates, April 12 at 7:30 pm.

The annual meeting of the Friends of the Smith College Libraries will feature a lively discussion about the dynamic relationship between authors, their literary agents and editors.

Thursday, April 12, 2007
7:30 pm Neilson Browsing Room

A reception with book signing will follow. The event is free, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible.

Panelists

Elinor Lipman has written nine novels including My Latest Grievance, The Pursuit of Alice Thrift, and Then She Found Me.

Barry Werth is the author of 31 Days and The Scarlet Professor as well as numerous non-fiction essays and articles.

Jennifer Gates is a partner with The Zachary Schuster Harmsworth Literary Agency of New York and Boston.

Richard Todd has worked as an editor at Houghton Mifflin, the Atlantic Monthly and the New England Monthly.
