| Classical
and Christian texts are exhibited. They range in date from 1482
to 2003, and were printed using various designs, or fonts, of Greek
types. The exhibition examines the evolution of Greek typographic
letterforms, from lapidary to cursive, and the role of early publishers
in promoting Greek studies.
The
exhibition was written by senior Elaine Chan '07 as part of a special
studies in the Renaissance book based in the Mortimer Rare Book
Room in the fall of 2006.
