"'A Perennial Blessing': Celebrating Sophia Smith"

    A Web exhibit incorporating a large body of archival material documenting the life of Sophia Smith and the founding of Smith College. View letters, diaries, photographs, Sophia's will, and other documents on your computer screen. The exhibit was mounted as part of the 200th anniversary celebration of the birth of Sophia Smith. The Web version is an early product of the Five College Archives Digital Access Project, funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
