The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program is a Japanese Government-sponsored program to improve English language education and promote grass-roots level international exchange in Japan. JET is seeking candidates who will hold at least a Bachelor's degree by July 1, 2013, to live and work in Japan for one year as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) or Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs).  Candidates should have an interest in learning about Japan while sharing their own culture and enjoy working with children. Japanese language ability is not required for ALT positions.  The program requires a one-year commitment which will begin in late July or early August. The JET Program provides transportation to and from Japan and remuneration to cover living expenses. To participate in the JET Program in 2013, apply this fall!  The deadline will likely be in mid-November (exact date TBA).
