(MPP) program educates individuals to become public and nonprofit sector leaders, as well as effective advocates for social change. It is an accelerated degree program targeted to outstanding Five College students. The MPP program integrates theoretical learning with multiple opportunities for practical applications and offers students a more policy-focused degree option than our Master of Public Policy and Administration. The MPP curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong analytical foundation, applicable to a wide variety of policy issues. Students complete a three-credit internship the summer after completing their undergraduate degrees, then return to the UMass Amherst campus for two semesters of full-time studies. Because the MPP allows students to earn credits that count toward both a their bachelor's and master's degrees, this program is a less expensive option than earning undergraduate and graduate degrees separately.

Lookout Mobile Security
San Francisco, CA
Founded in 2007, Lookout is a San Francisco-based mobile security company that provides security to both private and business mobile devices. In 2009, our consumer product launched on the Android platform and since then, we have expanded to iOS devices and grown to over 55 million users in more than 170 countries. What makes this a great place to work? Well, Lookout was founded on the idea that we can do anything we set our minds to, and the concept that nothing is impossible is still at our very core to this day. That means, as a company, we like to hack on things we view as both impactful and challenging. The way we see it, constraining people to their job descriptions is a recipe for mediocrity and collaboration is a huge part of what makes us successful. We definitely work hard, so we also like to play hard. Some of the fun stuff: Sponsored travel to industry events such as BlackHat and DefCon; awesome get-togethers like bi-weekly tech talks, hackternoons, Ignyte events and company-wide hackathons; social events like monthly company happy hours, poker and game nights, and beer pong. Still not convinced? Ask for more info!

The PFM Group
PFM is the nation's leading municipal financial and investment advisory firm with offices throughout the United States. PFM has three primary businesses: (i) transaction management related to debt issuance; (ii) investment advice and portfolio management for bond proceeds and working capital; and (iii) strategic municipal consulting related to operating and capital budgets. With this comprehensive orientation, PFM is unique among financial advisors, who more typically only manage debt transactions. Only PFM offers its clients a horizontally integrated array of services designed to meet all their financial needs. PFM’s only business is providing financial, investment and consulting advice to its clients. We are involved in the capital markets on a daily basis, and while we offer our clients professional resources that equal or surpass those of any investment bank, we do not trade or underwrite securities. Therefore, unlike an underwriting firm, which must at once meet the needs of both the seller and buyer of securities, PFM has no inherent conflict of interest in a transaction. We serve only one interest, that of our municipal client.

Yale Institute of Sacred Music / Yale Divinity School
New Haven, CT
The Yale Institute of Sacred Music, an interdisciplinary graduate center, educates leaders who foster, explore, and study engagement with the sacred through music, worship, and the arts in Christian communities, diverse religious traditions, and public life. Partnering with the Yale School of Music and Yale Divinity School, as well as other academic and professional units at Yale, the Institute prepares its students for careers in church music and other sacred music, pastoral ministry, performance, and scholarship. The Institute’s curriculum integrates the study and practice of religion with that of music and the arts. With a core focus on Christian sacred music, the ISM builds bridges among disciplines and vocations and makes creative space for scholarship, performance, and practice.
Building on its centuries-old traditions, Yale Divinity School fulfills a critical role preparing leaders for service in church and world at a time of dramatic shifts in the theological landscape. The YDS student body represents a wide range of cultures, ethnicities and faith communities from around the world, taught by faculty eager to accept the educational challenges of an increasingly globalized environment. Outside the classroom, but equally important to the YDS experience, are the deeply inspirational daily chapel services reflecting the great variety of worship traditions that have evolved over the millennia. Following in the footsteps of such Yale theological luminaries and preachers as Jonathan Edwards, H. Richard Niebuhr and William Sloane Coffin, Jr., YDS students may prepare for a life of ordained or lay ministry by enrolling in one of three degree-granting programs: Master of Divinity (M.DIV.), Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R.), and Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.). In this ecumenical, nonsectarian setting within the broader Yale University community, the Divinity School brings together faith and intellect in service to its mission: "To foster the knowledge and love of God through critical engagement with the traditions of the Christian churches in the context of the contemporary world."
