Blueprint Schools Network
Blueprint Schools Network (Blueprint) is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization dedicated to working directly with school districts to close the achievement gap in their lowest-performing schools. Blueprint works in partnership with district and school leaders to plan, implement, and monitor school turnaround strategies in line with our research-based, five-point framework for school reform. Through this effort, Blueprint ensures that our Partner Schools embrace a comprehensive approach to:
1) Investing in human capital;
2) Developing a school culture of high expectations;
3) Increasing instructional time;
4) Providing students with small group differentiated instruction; and
5) Organizing, synthesizing and using student and school performance data.
We are currently working on comprehensive school turnaround initiatives with elementary, middle and high schools in Boston Public Schools and Denver Public Schools. In addition, the Blueprint Fellows program, a year-long full-time academic tutoring program will be implemented in an additional 39 schools within Denver Public Schools in the 2013-14 academic year.

City Year was founded in 1988 on the belief that young people can change the world. City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. At City Year’s 24 urban locations across the United States and 2 international affiliates, teams of trained young people called corps members serve full-time in schools for the academic year as tutors, mentors and role models. Phoenix Charter Academy
The Phoenix Charter Academy Network manages a growing portfolio of free, open-enrollment, college preparatory public high schools in Massachusetts. The Phoenix network currently manages two schools, a public charter school in Chelsea and a district school in Lawrence, serving a total of 325 students. Phoenix was recently approved to open a new charter high school in Springfield, MA in fall 2014. Phoenix Chelsea is one of only three Commonwealth charter schools that actively recruit older, disconnected, and underserved students and empower them for college success through high academic expectations and relentless support. The network plans to operate up to five schools in the coming years to serve 1,000 students.

The Schuler Scholar Program (SSP) prepares students who are bright and motivated, but underserved, to succeed at the most competitive colleges and universities. Schuler Scholars are typically first-generation college-bound, come from under-resourced families and communities, and will need financial assistance in order to attend college. Many Scholars are from a population that is under-represented on college campuses. Venly trains recent college graduates and returning veterans to help local businesses reach more customers at a lower cost. Venly works out of the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce with an Operations Center in Cambridge, MA.

Since our inception, we have placed over 5,000 volunteers, providing them with teacher training, language preparation, and field support, empowering them to affect lasting change on the community they work with so that their influence will survive their experience.
