The Smith College Lazarus Center takes part in several career fairs and interview days to help introduce students to a larger, more varied employer base. Employers that do not recruit on campus will often participate in these events.

Amherst College Not-For-Profit & Public Service Career Fair

Want to make a difference and a living? This fair is open to students from all of the Five Colleges and brings opportunities for meaningful work right to your doorstep. Come meet employers offering summer internships, full-time and part-time jobs, and opportunities for service or volunteering.

19th European Career Fair @ MIT
Saturday, February 21, 2015
Johnson Athletic Center, MIT, Cambridge, MA
This career fair is the largest of its kind in the United States and has a proven track record providing domestic, foreign, and multinational companies access to some of the highest caliber applicants worldwide. Our company participants are diverse, ranging from renowned multinationals to smaller, innovative firms operating in a wide variety of sectors.
REGISTRATION: Like in previous years, we offer the possibility for candidates to submit their resumes online prior to the Fair. The resumes will be displayed in our searchable database and will thus be accessible to the employers attending the Fair. This is advantageous as the day of the Fair can be very busy. Many employers will be hosting Information Sessions and some will be selecting candidates to interview in person on Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23, 2015. Candidates should plan travel arrangements accordingly to ensure timliness for such events.  Walk-ins on the Career Fair day are welcome to speak with the participating employers and 50% of interviews are scheduled during the event!

Meet employers looking to diversify their workforces and want to speak with students of all majors for full-time, co-op or Internship opportunities. Employers attending this event will know this is an event for inclusion and outreach and many will have specific openings to discuss.

UMass Amherst Career Blast 2015

The largest career fair on campus, over 130 employers who have internships, co-ops or full-time positions. Open to all majors, all level students. Professional dress is required.

The Fair at Wellesley College

The Fair combines the former Not-for-Profit & Public Service Fair and the Wellesley Women in Science Job & Internship Fair and welcomes for-profit companies and not-for-profit organizations in all industries as well as government agencies. Business casual attire is required.

Women’s Foreign Policy Group MENTORING FAIR
Thursday, February 26, 2015, 6:00-9:00pm
New York University
The program provides an opportunity to speak informally with senior-level international affairs experts about the skills required to break into the global job market and hear valuable advice and guidance regarding career planning and internships. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young professionals. Sectors include international development, NGOs, human rights, international law, international health, international business, diplomatic service, the UN, and communications. This year the event will be cosponsored by and held at New York University. Space is limited and advance registration is REQUIRED. MERC (Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium) Job Fair

Smith undergraduate and graduate students of all majors are invited to attend an education career fair being held by the Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium (MERC). MERC brings together representatives from public and independent schools and education non-profits from New England and elsewhere in the US to meet with member school students and alums to discuss job opportunities. Admission to the fair is free, and teacher certification, though required by many employers, is not needed to attend.

Massachusetts Green Career Conference
Fall 2015
This conference connects stakeholders from government, education, business and nonprofits and people interested in green careers to advance sustainable development. REGISTRATION includes full access to all conference amenities and features:  exhibits, speaker sessions, keynote, coaching, breakfast, lunch, networking, roundtable discussions, FREE book raffle, FREE parking, and FREE wifi.  

Liberal Arts Recruiting Connection (LARC)

The Liberal Arts Recruiting Connection (LARC) is a combination Career Fair and Interview Day that affords employers the opportunity to meet and interview students from eight highly selective liberal arts colleges.
