Peer Advisors
Peer Advisors (PAs) staff the majority of the Lazarus Center's one-on-one Drop-In sessions.
PAs receive extensive training on reviewing and providing constructive feedback on resumes and cover letters and best practices for seeking internships and jobs.
Peer Advisors are your resource for:
- Resume and cover letter help - Whether you're writing your first resume, or improving your existing resume and cover letters, the PAs can offer excellent advice and resources to get results. They can help you tailor your documents to employers' needs and expectations by assisting with wording, organization and style.
- Job & Internship Search - PAs can guide you through the many resources available for your internship or job search, no matter what the field.
Peer Advisors also assist visitors in the Lazarus Center’s Resource Library, manage our Suit Yourself program, and support workshops, events, communications and outreach efforts.
How to Meet with a Peer Advisor:
Students who are new to the Lazarus Center often choose to meet initially with a Peer Advisor, then make an appointment with a staff advisor to expand on their work. Other students may work regularly with a staff advisor, but meet with a PA for a quick check-in on a particular question or for an alternate viewpoint.
