nosotr@s Event Calendar

Spring 2016 calendar coming soon; for more information about Nosotr@s, see under Resources.

February 13th, 5:30 to 9:30pm : Pa'lante: Afro-Latinidad: Conectando a Nuestras Raices

"This Spring, Nosotr@s presents our annual event, Pa'lante! This year's Pa'lante theme is Afro-Latinidad. In light of Black History Month, we are continuing the effot of educating ourselves and the Smith community on Latin America's strong connection to Blackness. Often times, the countries in Latin America are depicted as non-black/"mestizo" places. However, these nations' foundations were built on the back of slaves and this is often erased from the history we learn. Through performing arts, we hope to provoke thoughtful discussions about our true roots and share history that doesn't often make it into the classroom."

There will be Latin American food and amazing performances, save the date!

February 19th, 10pm to 2am: La Tormenta

La Tormenta will be Nosotr@s annual party, held in the Campus Center.
