Students who wish to take summer courses abroad or domestically should follow the procedures for summer school credit available in the Class Deans Office.
SUMMER FUNDING
Funding for summer study is limited. Students are encouraged to apply to the following units, and others, for partial support:
1. International Experience Grants (due Thursday March 15, 2012) http://www.smith.edu/studyabroad/grants_ieg.php

4. Jewish Studies Summer Grants (due Friday March 16)
The Program in Jewish Studies has made available a limited number of $500 grants in support of 2012 summer study. Priority will be given to majors or minors in Jewish studies and/or to students who wish to make progress in their study of Jewish languages. These small grants are designed to encourage students to consider summer study; they are not designed to finance the full cost of programs abroad.
Applications should include:
1. A description of the program to which you are applying;
2. A short statement on how the program will enhance your studies;
3. A letter of recommendation from a faculty member;
4. A print-out of your transcript;
5. A budget with information on how you plan to cover the remaining costs of the program if you receive a $500 grant from Jewish Studies
All materials should be submitted in hard copy to Justin Cammy, Director of Jewish Studies, Seelye Hall 203.
