TECHNOLOGY TRAINING
Technology has become an integral part of the way we work and live.
The ITS technology training program is designed to help all members of the Smith
community learn to use Smith's technology tools effectively and efficiently. Whether
you are completely comfortable with new technology or are just getting starting with
the basics, there's something in our program for you.
ITS periodically offers instructor-led technology workshops for Smith students, faculty,
and staff. For the latest schedule, see:

Don't see what you're looking for? Send email to techtrain@email.smith.edu if
there are other technology topics you'd like us to address.
In recognition of the many different ways that people like to learn,
we also offer the following training options:
- On-line documentation. ITS provides step-by-step instructions for performing
many common software procedures on the TARA website you are viewing now. To find
out more, click on any of the topics on the left side of this page.
- One-on-one tutoring. ITS offers limited one-on-one
tutoring for new computer users. Call ext. 4487 to check availability.
- Software interest groups. Various software interest groups
meet informally on campus to share tips and ask questions. For example, the Microsoft
Access Users Group meets monthly and is open to all. For more information, see www.smith.edu/~mleavitt/AccessUG.html
