ACCESSING THE WIRELESS NETWORK FROM
A SMITH RESIDENCE HOUSE
This document explains how to
access the Smith wireless network from a Smith residence house.
- Open an Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox window.
- Activate
your wireless connection.
- Choose a wireless network.
- At the first Security Alert window,
click Yes to continue.
- At the next Security Alert window, click Yes to proceed.
- On the Web
Authentication page, click Accept.
- You will see Connection Successful in the browser
window and another Security Alert. Click Yes to continue.
- If you already have the Cisco
Clean Access Agent (CCA) software installed on your computer, wait for the CCA login
screen to open, then log in as usual.
- If
CCA scans your system and finds that all required software is installed and up-to-date,
you will see a Connection Successful window.
Congratulations - you can now access the Internet!
- If
CCA finds that any required software is missing, the directions on the screen
will prompt you to install the missing components.
However, since a wireless connection is much slower than a wired connection, we recommend that you use a wired connection to download any missing software or updates.
- If
CCA scans your system and finds that all required software is installed and up-to-date,
you will see a Connection Successful window.
If you don't already have Cisco Clean Access (CCA) software installed on your computer:
- You
will be redirected to the Network Authentication page. If you see one or
more additional Security Alert windows, click Yes to proceed.
- On the Smith Residential
Network Login page,
log in and click Continue.
- On the next screen, click on
the Download Clean Access Agent button.
- In the Security Alert window, click Yes.
- In the File Download window, click Open.
- In the Security Warning window, click Run.
- The InstallShield Wizard window will open, followed in a few seconds by the Cisco
Clean Access Agent InstallShield Wizard. Click Next to continue.
- In the Destination Folder window, click Next.
- In the Ready to Install window, click Install to begin the installation.
- After a few minutes, when the InstallShield Wizard Completed window appears,
click Finish.
- The Cisco Clean Access Agent login window will appear. Enter your GroupWise username
and password, then click Login.
- If
CCA scans your system and finds that all required software is installed and up-to-date,
you will see a Connection Successful window.
