Conference Calling Options for Faculty & Staff
Smith College campus phones can place conference calls for up to 6 participants. For instructions, see Setting Up a Conference Call on page 12 of this document: http://www.smith.edu/tara/telephones/facstaffguide.pdf
We also offer faculty and staff access to an external conference bridge service. Click here to view a company brochure describing the service and features.
Click here for a list of available controls and commands.
If you wish to use this service, contact Mary Clayton (x2082, mclayton@smith.edu) to request an account. You will be sent a confirmation email with your account information, and soon after a wallet card with pertinent information for easy access when setting up a call.
Once the account is set up, no reservations are required to use the service. Entering the moderator pass code automatically establishes a conference call, and callers entering the associated participant pass code are automatically added to the call.
There is no charge for having a conference bridge account. You are charged only for usage. The total cost of a conference call is calculated as follows: (Conference Call Rate .09) x (Duration of Call in Minutes) x (Number of Connections).
All charges are billed back to your organization number, which you provide at the time you establish your account.
International Participants: Participants from outside the US can access the service by calling the alternate access number (1-303-248-9662) rather than the toll-free 800 number.
If toll-free international access is required, contact Mary Clayton at x2082 or Customer Service at 800-730-2183 for information and rates.
