Check here if you wish to borrow an External Hard Drive for the semester. The drive is due back the last day of classes for the current semester. Please note that your professor will need to contact us in order for you to check out the drive.

Production Equipment Policy

The use of CMP production equipment is limited to authorized Smith College students, faculty and staff for academic use only.

5-College students taking a media production SC course may use Smith College equipment. Approved users may reserve and check out production equipment for one loan period per week. Photo ID is required for checkouts.

Loan periods are as follows:

Check out: Monday after 2pm
Due back: Wednesday by 1pm
Check out: Wednesday after 2pm
Due back: Friday by 1pm
Check out: Friday after 2pm
Due back: Monday by 1pm

I accept responsibility for the equipment I will be using. I understand that if this equipment should become damaged due to negligence while in my use, or lost or stolen while in my possession, I will be responsible for paying the current replacement or repair costs.

I also agree to return this equipment personally when due. If equipment is returned late, is damaged, or is missing components, a fine will be assessed. Late fees are $5 per day. For damage or missing components we will charge what it costs us to repair or replace the damaged or missing component. After 2 late returns, my borrowing privileges will be revoked. Letting anyone else use the equipment signed for by me will result in a loss of my privileges.
