Whether you're a Mac expert, a new Mac user, or a PC user who wants to find out more about Macs, our upcoming Mac Clinic has something for you. Don't miss this chance to learn something new and win a brand new video Flip Cam!
The Mac Clinic is for Smith faculty and staff only. Be sure to pre-register to reserve your spot!
The clinic will take place on Monday, February 15th, and Tuesday, February 16th, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM each day.
The same three sessions will be held both days - you can come and go as you please. All sessions will be in Rooms 103 & 104 at the Campus Center.
Here's the schedule:
| 1:00-1:30 |
Mac Basics: The Mac Desktop & Handling Your Files |
In this introductory session, you'll learn about the Mac Desktop, Dock, and Dashboard; managing local and network files on a Mac; and installing and deleting applications. You'll get a host of other useful tips for new users along the way.
Instructors: Jo Cannon & David Podboy |
| 1:30-2:10 |
Mac Possibilities: Multi-Media & The Web |
Find out more about what you can do with your Mac. In the space of 40 minutes, we'll demonstrate how Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Dreamweaver work together on a Mac to help you create interactive web pages. We'll also discuss some of the technical features of the newest Mac models and the advantages they provide.
Instructors: Frank Citino, Aisha Gabriel & Kate Lee |
| 2:10-2:30 |
Ask Your Mac Questions & Get Help With Current Projects
|
Whether your questions are simple or complex, now's the time to ask them. Bring your files or project materials with you to get feedback from an ITS expert on a specific problem. We'll be set up to address multiple questions at a time, so bring us yours!
Instructors: Tony Caldanaro, Jo Cannon, Frank Citino, Aisha Gabriel, David Grout, Kate Lee, Caroline Moore & David Podboy |
All participants will be entered in the Mac Clinic drawing, with its grand prize of a brand new video Flip Cam! Refreshments will be available throughout the sessions.

Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER for the Mac Clinic!
Important Notes about Registration:
- Only the February 15th clinic appears in the registration database - it's called A Mac Clinic for Faculty & Staff and is the first one on the list. Please register for that date even if you plan to attend on February 16th.
- Pre-registration is not required, but everyone who pre-registers will receive two tickets for the video Flip Cam drawing. (Walk-in attendees receive only one ticket.)

We look forward to seeing you there!
The Mac Clinic is a joint project of the ITS Educational Technology Services (ETS) group, the ITS User Support Center (USC), and the Smith Libraries.
